Pride Beyond the Celebration: Building Stronger Communities Together

Pride is more than a celebration. It's a journey of self-discovery that begins within and grows through the people and communities that make us feel seen, accepted, and valued.

At Pure Form®, we believe wellness goes beyond nutrition, movement, and everyday habits. It's also about creating spaces where people feel supported to live authentically and confidently.

That's why we're proud to partner with LoveYourself, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making sexual health services, HIV care, mental health support, and safe spaces more accessible to the LGBTQIA+ community in the Philippines.

This Pride Month, we brought that shared vision to life through Pure Form® Studios: 6.6 Proud Progress TikTok Live, where Pure Form® Brand Ambassador Martin Chua sat down with Janlee Dungca, PR Head of LoveYourself and LGBTQIA+ advocate, for an honest conversation about identity, acceptance, and belonging.

As part of the initiative, Pure Form® has committed to donating 10% of proceeds from the 6.6 Proud Progress Livestream to LoveYourself, supporting its ongoing work in inclusive healthcare, education, and community initiatives.

Throughout the conversation, one message remained clear:

Pride isn't a destination. It's a journey—one that begins with ourselves and grows stronger through community.

1. Recognizing Yourself

Before pride can be expressed, it must first be recognized.

The conversation began with one of the most personal questions we can ask ourselves: Who am I?

Janlee shared that self-discovery is rarely a single defining moment. More often, it unfolds through quiet reflection, lived experiences, and learning to trust ourselves over time.

Like wellness, understanding who we are isn't about reaching a finish line—it's about allowing ourselves the space to grow, evolve, and embrace every part of our journey.

2. Finding Acceptance

Once we begin to understand ourselves, another question naturally follows:

Will I be accepted?

Martin and Janlee spoke about the importance of safe spaces—whether at home, at work, among friends, or within our communities. They shared how chosen families, honest conversations, and compassionate support can make all the difference in helping someone feel seen and valued.

The discussion also highlighted that wellness includes more than physical health. It includes mental wellbeing, sexual health, and access to reliable healthcare without fear of judgment.

One reflection from the conversation stood out:

Rather than asking why someone hasn't come out, perhaps we should ask ourselves: "How can I become someone they feel safe coming out to?"

Creating a more inclusive world begins with creating spaces where people know they will be welcomed exactly as they are.

3. Belonging in a Community

No journey is meant to be walked alone.

As we grow into ourselves, community becomes the place where identity is affirmed, experiences are shared, and people find the confidence to keep moving forward.

Organizations like LoveYourself continue to create that sense of belonging by making healthcare, education, and support more accessible to the LGBTQIA+ community.

It's a reminder that wellness isn't only personal.

It's something we build together.

A Community Where Everyone Belongs

The Pure Form® Studios: 6.6 Proud Progress TikTok Live may have marked the beginning of the conversation, but the journey doesn't end there.

Every conversation that breaks stigma. Every safe space that welcomes someone in. Every act of kindness that reminds another person they belong—these are the moments that create lasting change.

Together with LoveYourself, Pure Form® is committed to building a more inclusive vision of wellness—one where education, compassion, and community are just as important as the habits we practice every day.

Through the Pure Form® Wellness Club, we hope to continue creating opportunities for people to learn, connect, and support one another—because wellness is more meaningful when it's shared.

When people feel seen, supported, and connected, communities grow stronger. And that's the kind of progress worth celebrating—not just during Pride Month, but every day.
